This Superb trek passes through the kingdom of Gaddi, a semi nomadic race who spends many months wandering the high pastures with their sheep. The trek offers splendid views of the Daula Dhar mountain Range. While the journey also includes visits to the H.H.Dalai Lama's monastery and residence, Paragpur ( a heritage village),Amritsar (pool of Nectar - site of Golden Temple) and the shahjahan's Fabled Taj Mahal at Agra.

DAY 01:- Leave your country for New Delhi.



DAY 02: Arrive Delhi: - Assistance on the arrival and the transfer to the Pre-booked hotel, morning free to re-charge. Afternoon guided tour of the Old Delhi, the Red-Fort and Chandni Chowk (silver Market).


DAY 03: Delhi sightseeing/overnight train to Pathankot:-After breakfast guided visit to New Delhi, visiting India gate, Birla Temple and Humayun's Tomb. Late evening transfer to railway station for overnight train to Pathankot (Today rooms are available till 1200hrs).Packed dinner.

DAY 04: Arrive Pathankot- Transfer to Dharamshala:-Assistance and transfer to Dharamshala (McLeod Ganj/ 1750mts) about 3hrs.Arrive in hotel in time for lunch. Evening visit to the residence of H.H.Dalai lama and the atmospheric monastery. Breakfast, lunch, dinner.

DAY 05: Dharamshala (McLeod Gung) - Kareri /TREK BEINGS: - After early breakfast we begin our 14 KMS/7hrs trek. First few Kms are a gradual ascent and descent until Satobari village, and on to Ghere village, we cross a small mountain stream over a wooden bridge a perfect place for lunch. After lunch we make a steep ascent for about 2hrs to the top of the ridge though the mixed forest. Another one hours, almost flat, walk takes us to Kareri village (2070mts). We set up camp in a lovely meadow near to the Laund River. Camp fire and overnight.


DAY 06: Kereri-Bal (2330mts):- After early breakfast we continue our 7hrs trek which starts by a very gradual ascent, before continuing through picturesque open meadows and pine forest to a village with traditional wooden houses. After lunch we begin our gradual ascent for about one hour. This is followed by a steep ascent through dense mixed forest of bamboo, oak and the pine before we reach the col, offering beautiful views of the valley. From the col it is another 30 min gradual ascent to then BAL village (2330mts), along the terraced field to another beautiful camping place with a gushing river nearby and distance views of camel park (5300mts).O/n in tents. All meal.

Day 07: Bal-Laka Got (3500mts/about 9hrs):-After breakfast we cross the river over a suspension bridge and then make a steep ascent though mixed forest for about 2hrs.All along the route, after a short rest we make a gradual ascent to our lunch spot. We will encounter many Gaddi tribal people taking their cattle to high pastures of Lak and Trind. After lunch, the views open up, get closer to Dhauladhar mountain range. We ascent through a meadow, and then through the Oak forest to Laka Got, a perfect camping place offering close-up views of the Dhauladhar mountains.O/n in tents. All meal.

 

DAY 08: Laka Got (3500mts)-Rest day: - A perfect place to unwind, and explore of about 3hrs through the valley and its glacier. If people feel fit, we can make an ascent to Indrahar Pass (4350mts), which offers spectacular views of Chamba valley and distance views of Pir Pangal range. O/n in tents.

DAY 09: Laka Got to Triund (2985mts):- After leisurely breakfast we make a decent of about 3hrs through the Oak forest to Triund Meadow offering fine views of the Dhauladhar mountain range. Afternoon spend free around the camp. Camp fire O/n in tents. All meal.

Day 10: Triund - Bhagso Nag Village (1740mts/about 5hrs trek) Trek End:- After breakfast we walk grassy ridge for about 4kms,with fine views of the valley below and the snowy peaks on other side .After trekking for 4kms we descent until we reach an attractive water fall and lunch spot. After lunch we trek for another 30 min to Bhagsu Nag village, where our Jeeps will be waiting to drive us 2hrs/70 kms to a delightful Heritage Hotel, Judges Courts. All meal.  

DAY 11: Paragpur-Amritsar (about 4/5hrs drive):-After breakfast enjoy a guided walk through the heritage village. Return for lunch, before driving to Amritsar for O/n in hotel. Breakfast and lunch.



DAY 12: Amritsar -Delhi (by fast train):- Very early morning visit to the golden temple to see sunrise and devotees offering morning prayers. Return to hotel for breakfast. Day free to explore the bazaar or re-visit the temple, evening transfer to the railway station for train to Delhi. Arrive Delhi and transfer to the hotel for overnight. (Breakfast and dinner on board)

DAY 13: Delhi-Agra-Delhi (by train):- Early morning transfer to railway station for express train to Agra. Arrive Agra and visit Taj mahal, Red fort and Tomb of Itamau-din-Daula, there will also be time to buy souvenir. Evening board return train to Delhi, in time to transfer to the airport for your return flight. (Breakfast and dinner on board).


DAY 14: Departure:-Early morning fly back to your home country.
